As a guitarist, singer, improviser, and songwriter, Jeremy Stewart has toured Canada, sharing stages or collaborating with artists like Oxbow, Lightning Bolt, Geoff Berner, Wax Mannequin, Stanley Jason Zappa, Catherine Sikora, Matt Weston, Harold Klunder, and Eldritch Priest, among many others.

Highlights include touring with indie rock band Jeremy Stewart & the Rest; performing on tour at many festivals with Raghu Lokanathan in roots group The Cottonweeds; touring as a solo performer on a double bill with Geoff Berner; performing as part of the Winnipeg Folk Festival Young Performers Program, hosted by artist mentor John Mann of Spirit of the West; and touring as lead guitarist for Lheidli T’enneh Elder Marcel Gagnon. He was nominated for the FVMA Singer-Songwriter of the Year.

Stewart taught guitar for nine seasons, including as a faculty member of the Prince George Conservatory of Music, and won two teaching awards.

Stewart is the guitarist of improvisational metallic noise project Christians, winners of the 2021 FVMA for Experimental Artist of the Year.
